In June 2022, HATch will be staging the comedy musical 'After Ever After'' at the Matt Dann Theatre & Cinema, Port Hedland.
When does it start?
In order to be part of this show, participants will begin rehearsals at the start of term 1 in 2022. Auditions are Monday, 31st January; rehearsals begin WEDNESDAY 2ND FEB.
Do I need to audition?
If you wish to have a speaking part or solo singing role you must sign up for and prepare for a brief audition on Monday, 31 January. Auditions are also a good way to practise being brave, just as a learning experience.
If I don't want to audition, can I be involved?
Yes! Everyone who enrols is able to participate in the musical as part of the ensemble or in the backstage crew.
How do I enrol and what do I need for this?
An adult will be needed to help complete the enrolment form which is below.
Participants can enrol and pay now or after the auditions, by Friday 4th February, if preferred. The enrolment form will ask for lots of costume measurements so you'll need a tape measure (we need to order costumes immediately due to Covid shipping delays).
Rehearsals will be weekly on Thursdays from 3 February and include several weekends towards the show.
What are the HATch age groups? WEDNESDAYS
HATchlings: years 3-6 (primary school) 3.30-4.30pm
HATchbacks: high school 4.30-5.30pm
Down the HATch: adults 5.30-6.30pm
All three groups will work individually, then come together to create HATch's first full musical ever!

ALL students who wish to audition for a solo speaking or singing part, whether supporting, minor or major, must do so on Monday, 31st January at the Matt Dann Theatre. The audition will be a five minute experience of presenting a short memorised script, with the option of singing one of several short pieces of music unaccompanied, and 30 seconds of a personal song of choice.
Auditionees don't need to be enrolled at the time of auditioning. This can happen up to Friday 4th February.
